Abstract

Hermann continues his looks at Malthusian pressures as a contributing factor in the crisis at Darfur. This article focuses on ecological damage caused by human activity combined with rising populations in Darfur as the primary cause of resource shortages. Hermann recognizes additional procedures are required to improve the crisis in Darfur, but proposes more sustainable forms of living that is more suitable to the region along with improved population management can vastly improve the current situation.
